We have also secured the support of our Director of Nursing, Primary Care and Older People to enable us to present the outcomes of our Prevent, Anticipate and Avoid, and Treat (PAAT) model for management of malnutrition in care homes at our Trust Senior Staff Briefing in June.

Northern Trust – Ballymoney, Northern Ireland

Date of Event/s:            10th June, and throughout Dietitians Week

Venue/s:                       Regional launch on the 10th June (Stormont Parliamentary Reception organised and led by the BDA) – where stands from each HSC Trust will be in place. The intention is to have a number of posters on display, along with “testimonies” on the Trust a dietitian posters.

Overview of activities:  Within our Trust we will be having 2 x stands available throughout the week within our 2 main acute hospital sites. A similar approach to that of the regional launch will be in place. We were hoping to ask patients & colleagues (internal and external) to write their comments on the “Trust a Dietitian” poster and then in some instances have a photograph of them holding their poster – which would then be displayed on our boards/stands.

We plan to have information on our Trust intranet and local radio and newspapers.   I am also organising an awards opportunity for staff, and the achievements will be acknowledged and presented on the 9th June by our Public Health Agency AHP Lead consultant who has a professional link with Dietitians.
