Dietitians Week: Get Involved

Dietitians Week

So, what are you going to do about it?  Eh?!?  Come On, Tell Us!

The world’s very first Dietitians Week (9-13 June 2014), led by the British Dietetic Association (BDA) includes a range of awareness raising and political events throughout the UK, and the world, to promote the profession and the impact of dietetic practice on the health of the nation.

How you can get involved today!

Whether you are an individual dietitian keen to get involved, a dietetic department eager to hold your own awareness-raising event within your workplace or a member of a BDA Branch / Board or Specialist Group who are keen to promote your area/specialism, Dietitians Week is the time for everyone to get involved!!

  • Why not hold an ‘open clinic’ in your lunch hour, handing out information on the role of a dietitian
  • Your department could hold an ‘Ask a Dietitian’ afternoon at your workplace
  • Your Trust could hold a ‘Dietitians Day’ during Dietitians Week
  • Ask your specialist group how they are going to promote your specialism during the week…
  • Ask your branch directly what plans they have to promote dietitians and the profession in your region…

Whatever you are planning to do, let us know by emailing us at [email protected].
