Trust a Dietitian…in England

Lords Trust Dietitians

Dietitians from around England travelled to the House of Lords in London to ensure their voices were heard in celebrating the great work of dietitians in England during Dietitians Week.

The event took place as part of the first ever national Dietitians Week, celebrating the outstanding contribution of the dietetic profession in England

The event was sponsored by Lord Balfe of Dulwich, who is the Trade Union Envoy for the Conservative Party, and who knows the BDA well from his many dealings with the Association.

BDA members were joined by members of both Westminster houses, supporting partner organisations, business partners, fellow AHP organisations, members of the media and a London 2012 gold medal Olympian – Katherine Grainger from the women’s rowing double sculls team.

The event also attracted no fewer than three BDA Honorary Chairman, Siân O’Shea (present), Pauline Douglas (2007-09) and Luci Daniels (2001-03).

The event was a perfect opportunity to come together and celebrate the impact and value of dietitians during the world’s first Dietitians Week.
